Raise Foundation delivers evidence based, one on one youth mentoring programs in schools across Australia. Their ability to support young people depends entirely on recruiting enough high quality volunteer mentors, especially in regional and outer metro areas. As demand grew, they needed a reliable way to scale mentor recruitment where schools were hardest to fill.
Each year, Raise works from a live and constantly changing list of schools. Without an agile performance framework, it was difficult to shift spend fast enough, reallocate focus as schools filled, and ensure every high need location received adequate recruitment support.

We built Raise a flexible, performance driven mentor recruitment system designed to scale nationally while remaining highly responsive at a local level. Campaigns were structured around school level demand, allowing us to prioritise urgent locations, pause spend once targets were met, and redirect budget to the next highest need area in real time.
Over five years of collaboration, we refined Raise’s creative and strategy with precision. Using an 80 20 approach, most creatives were based on proven performers while a smaller portion tested new formats. Each school campaign was supported by tailored assets, strong social proof, and active community management to maximise performance at scale.
In 2025, Raise Foundation recruited 3,443 new volunteer mentors nationwide. Through paid digital campaigns alone, we drove 929 completed mentor applications, accounting for 27 percent of all new mentors recruited that year. This performance allowed Raise to fill programs in harder to recruit regions and expand their reach to more young people across Australia.
